In the 52nd minute Leopoldo Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Baptista in the 55th minute of play forced Ituano Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sandrinho do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandrinho do Nascimento came out of the goal and Giovanni Sergipano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the match, Ituano Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo de Sena came free, but Sandrinho do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
