Itapua AD's Sydney Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Fernandes in the 6th minute of play. In the 10th minute Carlinhos Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Itapua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Fernandes came free, but Sydney Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Sergipano in the 13th minute of play forced Itapua AD's goalkeeper Sydney Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo de Sena in the 19th minute of play forced Itapua AD's goalkeeper Sydney Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Baptista took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Donatello. Sydney Donatello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A hard shot 37 in the game by Wanderson Pena from a close distance when the talented Gilberto Veiga managed to make a qualified save. Homossexual Futebol Clube's players were relieved. Iuri Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Itapua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Baptista came free, but Sydney Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Veiga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Mendonça in the 44th minute. If Wanderson Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wanderson Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute Igor Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Homossexual Futebol Clube were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wanderson Pena to strike the kick off in the second half. When Igor Cerezo fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapua AD's protests and gave Igor Cerezo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Itapua AD getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Igor Cerezo hit a great ball. Sydney Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo de Sena in the 61st minute of the match. Aníbal Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aníbal Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Itapua AD defense, Leopoldo Baptista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sydney Donatello. The Itapua AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sydney Donatello should have stopped the shot. Sydney Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 71 minutes, Leopoldo Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Homossexual Futebol Clube and the Itapua AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th minute, Homossexual Futebol Clube's Gonçalo de Sena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sydney Donatello. Sydney Donatello yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. With a little luck, Itapua AD's Sydney Donatello got control of the ball when Leopoldo Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lenílson Faria lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Homossexual Futebol Clube! If Aníbal Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leopoldo Baptista hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Although Itapua AD had been in control for most of the match, Homossexual Futebol Clube still came away with the win.
