Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dorian Romero kicked off to start the match. Didi Vander took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised William Fontes. William Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Didi Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Artur Linhares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Carlos Augusto Furlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Dorian Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorian Romero charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorian Romero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dorian Romero hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, one of Pirates F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Artur Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilmar Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Gilmar Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Jorge F. 1992's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilmar Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. William Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-2 became the score in the 45th minute when Gilmar Quadros elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After the first half São Jorge F. 1992 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Pirates F.C booed when São Jorge F. 1992 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 51st minute, Didi Vander fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitório Silveira during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pirates F.C's Vitório Silveira got a free kick in the 54th minute. William Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Torres in the 57th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Didi Vander got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 69 minutes of play, São Jorge F. 1992's Didi Vander made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Guilherme Maia hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The long shot by Baltazar da Cunha in the 74th minute really tested William Fontes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 77th minute Norberto Alvarenga managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Didi Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Jorge F. 1992's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Vander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pirates F.C's William Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Quadros in the 82nd minute of play. Pirates F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Gilmar Quadros scored to the left of an out of position William Fontes, making the score, 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as São Jorge F. 1992's Didi Vander slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of William Fontes. That made the score 1-5 after 89 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, São Jorge F. 1992's Matías Torres got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in São Jorge F. 1992's zone, Artur Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Furlan came out of the goal and Artur Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. São Jorge F. 1992's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
