Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gonçalo de Sena took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 minutes, Cristian de Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirates F.C and the Homossexual Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Homossexual Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Pirates F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiago Britto took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Giovanni Sergipano managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Leopoldo Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Fontes having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Tiago Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pirates F.C's William Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Sergipano in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Doriva Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Homossexual Futebol Clube's Gonçalo de Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Fontes was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonçalo de Sena in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Leopoldo Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Romero in the 37th minute of play. Homossexual Futebol Clube's Gilberto Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Romero in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Nunes during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Artur Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Artur Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirates F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Nunes hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Artur Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Pirates F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Linhares couldn't finish the play. Gonçalo de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Fontes having to interfere. Pirates F.C's William Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo de Sena in the 64th minute of play. Pirates F.C's William Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Pirates F.C from getting a goal against them. Gonçalo de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Leopoldo Baptista fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of William Fontes, passed just outside the right post. If Gonçalo de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Fabinho Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirates F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Homossexual Futebol Clube the free kick. Gonçalo de Sena might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over William Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonçalo de Sena ran back to his position shaking his head. William Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
