Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dorian Pontes started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Igor Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Téo da Silveira hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Wanderson Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Dorian Pontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vasco Lima fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sydney Donatello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Carioca hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match Ricardo Teles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sydney Donatello showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Eusébio Lira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sydney Donatello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute Téo da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney Donatello came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Vasco Lima's Eusébio Lira. But to his dismay, Eusébio Lira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Eriberto Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Tiago Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Donatello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Cerezo was the one to do the kick off. Sydney Donatello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Délio Fonseca in the 51st minute. Sydney Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Pontes in the 53rd minute of play. Téo da Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Sydney Donatello made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Lira got free with Sydney Donatello in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Téo da Silveira took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Donatello. Sydney Donatello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Ernani Bezerra hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Itapua AD's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eusébio Lira 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Igor Cerezo succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5. The supporters of Vasco Lima booed when Itapua AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sydney Donatello made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Edgar Maia sent off a good shot on target. Igor Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Mineiro having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Itapua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Pontes came free, but Sydney Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasco Lima's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
