In the 19th minute of the match Vágner Porto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but César Marques skillfully saved the ball. Vivaldo Motta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Hermes went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Verdes SS's Fabinho Fonseca got a free kick in the 26th minute. Olympiada FC's César Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Cerezo in the 30th minute of play. If Emanuel Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Magno Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verdes SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magno Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Hermes might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vivaldo Motta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Hermes ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arlindo Lima was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Guilherme Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Alfredo Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Motta having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, César Marques successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arlindo Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arlindo Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emanuel Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Motta having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Alfredo Berger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vivaldo Motta was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Olympiada FC's Gugu Eger was substituted for Nuno Bittencourt. A collision led to Verdes SS getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Arlindo Lima hit a great ball. Hermínio Secco succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. After some careless play in the Verdes SS defense, Hermínio Secco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vivaldo Motta. The Verdes SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vivaldo Motta should have stopped the shot. Olympiada FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
