The goalkeeper, Víktor de Souza, was totally fooled by Piracuruca's Igor Magalhães, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Agostinho Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, William Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Víktor de Souza. Desportivo Apollo XIII's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The supporters of Piracuruca booed when Desportivo Apollo XIII was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Desportivo Apollo XIII's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Tomás Medeiros scored to the left of an out of position Víktor de Souza, making the score, 3-0. Víktor de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Medeiros in the 21st minute of the match. Kléber Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor de Souza having to interfere. Tomás Medeiros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Víktor de Souza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Kléber Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piracuruca's protests and gave Kléber Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Piracuruca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber Moreno to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 41 minutes, Vivaldo Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piracuruca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivaldo Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Tomás Medeiros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Víktor de Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Medeiros to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Mangueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Víktor de Souza. Desportivo Apollo XIII's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Mangueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The Piracuruca fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Piracuruca's Tomás Medeiros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. William Cardoso took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Víktor de Souza. Víktor de Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Desportivo Apollo XIII's Víktor de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Cardoso in the 64th minute of play. Caio Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Tomás Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Víktor de Souza came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Piracuruca's William Cardoso. But to his dismay, William Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Kléber Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Víktor de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kléber Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Piracuruca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléber Moreno couldn't finish the play. Agnaldo Meira made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Eduardo Vianna sent off a good shot on target. William Cardoso scored 9-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Víktor de Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomás Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor de Souza having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, William Cardoso notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Desportivo Apollo XIII's Víktor de Souza. Víktor de Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
