Rui Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivo Duarte's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Quijing BA's Rui Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Duarte in the 15th minute of play. When Nilson Matos fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quijing BA's protests and gave Nilson Matos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Nilson Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manoel Faria hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Bocaja's João Carlos Alagoano in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 29thth minute of the game Ivo Duarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quijing BA's Rui Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Quijing BA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Maranhense was slow to take the kick. During this time Bocaja's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Bocaja's corner Felipe Maranhense fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rui Vieira quite easily take care of the ball. Rui Vieira came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Bocaja's Ivo Duarte. But to his dismay, Ivo Duarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ivo Duarte struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rui Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bocaja. If João Carlos Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes, Osvaldo Sampaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bocaja and the Quijing BA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Osvaldo Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovânio Amaral was the one to do the kick off. Quijing BA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bocaja the free kick. Silvério Barbosa hit a great ball. After 87 minutes, João Carlos Alagoano mouthed his way into the referee's book. Bocaja's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
