Cibauma AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patativa the free kick. André Luís Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Sílvio Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vivaldo Arruda during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Patativa! The referee gave Cibauma AD a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Delfim Figueiredo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Patativa's Hortêncio Amaral. 0-1. In the 12th minute Diogo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, Sérgio da Cunha made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Patativa's Hortêncio Amaral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Duarte Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Sílvio Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hortêncio Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Queirós in the 30th minute of play. When Oséias Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Cibauma AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséias Queirós couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the game, Cibauma AD's Sérgio da Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Patativa's Vivaldo Arruda got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Hortêncio Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséias Queirós in the 43rd minute of the match. Sérgio da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 played minutes Patativa got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Negri.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oséias Queirós to make the kick off. After 55 minutes Cibauma AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matías Donato who took care of the corner kick. Patativa's Hortêncio Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Queirós in the 61st minute of play. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Marco Bertassi sped through Cibauma AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sílvio Prata. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Bertassi in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Prata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Patativa fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Patativa's Marco Bertassi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marco Bertassi scored 4-3 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Prata, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sérgio da Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Hortêncio Amaral made a huge save. A collision led to Patativa getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Edgar Negri hit a great ball. Sílvio Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Oséias Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Duarte Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cibauma AD's protests and gave Duarte Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. Duarte Meirelles hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Hermínio Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Prata having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Cibauma AD's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Quirino came free, but Sílvio Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patativa's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
