Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wesley Schmidt to make the kick off. Betinho Magalhães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Social Futebol Clube's Abelardo Pontes got a free kick in the 64th minute. Betinho Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Vinhas in the 68th minute of the match. Delfim Figueiredo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Betinho Magalhães. Social Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. But to his dismay, Amadeu Vinhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 89th minute André Luís Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, André Luís Lopez notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Social Futebol Clube's Betinho Magalhães. Betinho Magalhães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
