Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mathias Pombal kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Mathias Pombal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Prata. Cibauma AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Pombal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sílvio Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamim Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Haroldo Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Prata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Falcão Paiva went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Oséias Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Benjamim Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Taipinha AD's Mathias Pombal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Mathias Pombal put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Sílvio Prata. Sérgio da Cunha scored 1-4 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamim Cerezo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cibauma AD's Sílvio Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Pombal in the 49th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Benjamim Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio da Cunha in the 53rd minute of play. Mathias Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ivo Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sílvio Prata came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Taipinha AD's Mathias Pombal. But to his dismay, Mathias Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Oséias Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cibauma AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséias Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamim Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Sérgio da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Cibauma AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio da Cunha couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oséias Queirós in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamim Cerezo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sérgio da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Oséias Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cibauma AD's goalkeeper Sílvio Prata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amadeu Vinhas hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Mathias Pombal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Taipinha AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
