The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Adilson Matorin sped through Mellinho FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adhemar Tande. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Mellinho FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of B-S-L:s goal. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for B-S-L. Patryk Gecionis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adhemar Tande. 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Adilson Matorin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adhemar Tande. Mellinho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adilson Matorin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Adhemar Tande stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adilson Matorin's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Mellinho FC's Adhemar Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Matorin in the 22nd minute of play. If Adilson Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 27 minutes, Adilson Matorin made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Mellinho FC's Adhemar Tande tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Adhemar Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 32 minutes, Mané Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mellinho FC and the B-S-L players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mellinho FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Mané Santos hit a great ball. Edmílson de Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmílson de Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes Mellinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson de Toledo. In the 37th minute, Adilson Matorin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adhemar Tande was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After some careless play in the Mellinho FC defense, Adilson Matorin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adhemar Tande. The Mellinho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adhemar Tande should have stopped the shot. Adhemar Tande didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adilson Matorin went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-9 lead.

The supporters of Mellinho FC booed when B-S-L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Şerbănoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Mellinho FC's Adhemar Tande got control of the ball when Júnior de Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, B-S-L's Adilson Matorin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. Júnior de Moraes took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adhemar Tande. Adhemar Tande dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. In the 65th minute, Adilson Matorin made a precise shot to the right of Adhemar Tande. Mellinho FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. After 69 minutes of play Mellinho FC's Mané Santos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Mané Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Hernani Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the game, Adilson Matorin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adhemar Tande. Adilson Matorin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-13. 83 minutes into the match, Mellinho FC's goalkeeper Adhemar Tande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastião Baiano. Nildo Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The B-S-L fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when B-S-L's Nildo Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-14 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 92 played minutes B-S-L got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Seco. After 93 minutes, Erasmo Paiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mellinho FC and the B-S-L players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erasmo Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Nildo Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adhemar Tande was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the match was over B-S-L could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mellinho FC throughout the match.
