In the 19th minute, Eulalio Peio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Wágner de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the PATO BRANCO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wágner de Lara couldn't finish the play. Zé Roberto de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Veloso having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Eulalio Peio managed to get in a good position for a shot. PATO BRANCO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eulalio Peio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Cangaceiros PE's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Peio came free, but Danilo Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Lukáš Modrić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danilo Veloso. Cangaceiros PE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lukáš Modrić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Marcos Valladares was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 41 minutes into the match. Danilo Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukáš Modrić in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Arsenio Loramendi notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Cangaceiros PE's Danilo Veloso. Danilo Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Linares to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, PATO BRANCO FC's Wágner de Lara made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Danilo Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wágner de Lara in the 57th minute. PATO BRANCO FC's Wágner de Lara managed to work through Cangaceiros PE's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wágner de Lara dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 61st minute, Wágner de Lara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Danilo Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustão Alagoano in the 65th minute. Danilo Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Peio in the 68th minute of play. Danilo Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukáš Modrić in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st play minute Lukáš Modrić came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Danilo Veloso. 0-8. Danilo Veloso didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-9. Danilo Veloso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lukáš Modrić showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 84 minute of play. In the 88th minute Faustão Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cangaceiros PE's Danilo Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Peio in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Cangaceiros PE's Danilo Veloso got control of the ball when Lukáš Modrić tried to sneak it across the goal line. Danilo Veloso was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Eulalio Peio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eulalio Peio really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11. When the final whistle sounded PATO BRANCO FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cangaceiros PE.
