Valdemar Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Britto having to interfere. Téo Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio de Brito in the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Salles during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
