Afonso Prestes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Çağlar Abdullahi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. If Çağlar Abdullahi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 9th minute Guilherme Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, diabo do imaroin's Pedro Paulo Ferraz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Afonso Prestes. Afonso Prestes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 22nd minute, Çağlar Abdullahi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Fábio Antunes's late challenge caught a diabo do imaroin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fábio Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Fábio Antunes hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Pedro Paulo Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, diabo do imaroin's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Pitta came free, but Paulo Berrondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paulo Ferraz in the 35th minute of play forced Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Çağlar Abdullahi. In the 38th minute of the match, Çağlar Abdullahi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Afonso Prestes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Afonso Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Ferraz in the 39th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Raí Sanches was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Potchos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave diabo do imaroin the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Potchos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Afonso Prestes, was totally fooled by diabo do imaroin's Genílson Figueiredo, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro de Castro to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Moreira in the 54th minute of play forced Potchos's goalkeeper Afonso Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Çağlar Abdullahi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The diabo do imaroin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Çağlar Abdullahi hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Afonso Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Paulo Ferraz went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Afonso Prestes came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by diabo do imaroin's Pedro Paulo Ferraz. But to his dismay, Pedro Paulo Ferraz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. After having played for 80 minutes, Pedro Paulo Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. diabo do imaroin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Paulo Ferraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Guilherme Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Paulo Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the game, diabo do imaroin's Pedro Paulo Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Prestes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. There was no doubt that diabo do imaroin were the better team. diabo do imaroin's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
