Macaia SS's Luís Fabiano Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Azevedo in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Atininga getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Elivélton Tasso hit a great ball. Genílson Guerra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Anísio de Alcântara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atininga's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joélson Aparecido was slow to take the kick. During this time Macaia SS's players had a chance to rest. Franklin Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Faria having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Franklin Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Genílson Guerra's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Anísio de Alcântara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Franklin Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adelino Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adelino Azevedo made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adelino Azevedo in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fabiano Faria saved Macaia SS from getting behind.
