In the 5th minute, Jerônimo Favoretto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anísio de Alcântara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 8thth minute of the game Jerônimo Favoretto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atininga's Anísio de Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerônimo Favoretto in the 11th minute of play forced Atininga's goalkeeper Anísio de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Itabapoana SP's goalkeeper Josué Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Azevedo. When Itabapoana SP's Jerônimo Favoretto in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Virgílio Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Atininga booed when Itabapoana SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Luiz Eduardo Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerônimo Favoretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anísio de Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Itabapoana SP's Josué Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Itabapoana SP from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the game, Adelino Azevedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Josué Macedo. Adelino Azevedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 45th play minute Luiz Eduardo Matos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Josué Macedo. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adelino Azevedo to strike the kick off in the second half. Atininga's Anísio de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo Favoretto in the 59th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davi Palmeira got free with Anísio de Alcântara in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66thth minute of the game Jerônimo Favoretto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atininga's Anísio de Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mané Marinho succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. In the 76th minute, Davi Palmeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diogo Fontes hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Josué Macedo came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atininga's Adelino Azevedo. But to his dismay, Adelino Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Luiz Eduardo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anísio de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Favoretto in the 91st minute of play. Atininga walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
