But to his dismay, Jerônimo Favoretto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Pedro Luís Cearense's late challenge caught a Itabapoana SP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luís Cearense helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mané Marinho got free with Nilton Pinheiro in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jerônimo Favoretto had several of the Kalango FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Nilton Pinheiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. Felipe Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute Breno Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalango FC's Nilton Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Kalango FC from getting a goal against them. Rodrigo Chaves succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Mané Marinho took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nilton Pinheiro. Jerônimo Favoretto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Nilton Pinheiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 84th minute, one of Itabapoana SP:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itabapoana SP. Itabapoana SP:s Josué Macedo showed great skill when he stopped Pedro Luís Cearense:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Marinho in the 93rd minute of play forced Kalango FC's goalkeeper Nilton Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilton Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davi Palmeira's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Itabapoana SP's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
