Felippe de Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fabiano Faria having to make a save. When Felippe de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Pinto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felippe de Souza couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Umberto Moreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fabiano Faria was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Felippe de Souza hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Genílson Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Christiano Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genílson Guerra struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Christiano Furtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macaia SS. 47 minutes into the match, Pinto's goalkeeper Christiano Furtado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genílson Guerra.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Genílson Guerra made a kick off. Felippe de Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Luís Fabiano Faria made a huge save. After having played for 59 minutes, Genílson Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macaia SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genílson Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Felippe de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 66 minutes into the match, Macaia SS's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe de Souza came free, but Luís Fabiano Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Tiago Gabriel Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Joélson Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Macaia SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joélson Aparecido couldn't finish the play. Christiano Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 played minutes Macaia SS got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Veloso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Guerra in the 73rd minute of play forced Pinto's goalkeeper Christiano Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Macaia SS booed when Pinto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Genílson Guerra made a precise shot to the right of Christiano Furtado. Pinto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Paulão Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macaia SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulão Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiano Furtado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute of the match Joélson Aparecido shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christiano Furtado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Felippe de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fabiano Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pinto were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
