From close distance Jerônimo Favoretto pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 11 minutes into the game. The audience was convinced that Jerônimo Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiano Furtado was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Pinto's Christiano Furtado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Pinto from getting a goal against them. In the 17th match minute, Pinto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Eger to maneuver through the defense. Jerônimo Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christiano Furtado made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Davi Palmeira sent off a good shot on target. Pinto's Christiano Furtado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Pinto from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerônimo Favoretto in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christiano Furtado saved Pinto from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Umberto Moreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Pinto booed when Itabapoana SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josué Macedo was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Umberto Moreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Umberto Moreira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Josué Macedo came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Pinto's Umberto Moreira. But to his dismay, Umberto Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 62 minutes, Davi Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itabapoana SP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davi Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Davi Palmeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itabapoana SP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 76th minute, Jerônimo Favoretto made a precise shot to the right of Christiano Furtado. Pinto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Davi Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Furtado having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerônimo Favoretto in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christiano Furtado saved Pinto from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerônimo Favoretto in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiano Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Jerônimo Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiano Furtado was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Christiano Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Favoretto in the 93rd minute of play. Davi Palmeira took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christiano Furtado. Christiano Furtado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Itabapoana SP's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
