In the 28th minute Dino Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Baiano lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 35thth minute of the game Arif Oğuz Yağızalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crobas EC's Valdomiro Bueno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valdomiro Bueno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arif Oğuz Yağızalp went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gildo Cruz couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
