In the 2nd minute, one of Grêmio PR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Grêmio PR. When Zerozinho Youth's Miguel Merentiel in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grêmio PR's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Zerozinho Youth's Anderson Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernandão Reis. That made the score 2-0 after 11 minutes of play. Fernandão Reis had great luck who in the 21stth minute grab hold of the ball when Anderson Ribeiro from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The supporters of Grêmio PR booed when Zerozinho Youth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Anderson Ribeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernandão Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a rather tough play, Grêmio PR's Lenílson da Rocha got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A hard shot 34 in the game by Aílton Godoi from a close distance when the talented Fernandão Reis managed to make a qualified save. Grêmio PR's players were relieved. Aílton Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernandão Reis came out and tried to block the shot, but Aílton Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute, Grêmio PR's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aílton Godoi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Miguel Merentiel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernandão Reis having to make a save. The Zerozinho Youth fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Zerozinho Youth's Miguel Merentiel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 46 minutes into the match, Grêmio PR's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Ribeiro came free, but Fernandão Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Furtado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Jonathan Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willian de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Flávio Freitas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Fernandão Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miguel Merentiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Reis having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio PR's zone, Flávio Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandão Reis came out of the goal and Flávio Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernandão Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Godoi in the 67th minute of the match. Fernandão Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Anderson Ribeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernandão Reis. Grêmio PR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anderson Ribeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. If Aílton Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Grêmio PR's Emanuel Campidelis got a free kick in the 81st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Santos got free with Willian de Lima in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernandão Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Merentiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Zerozinho Youth's Fiori Berger got a free kick in the 95th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Merentiel in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernandão Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
