In the 2nd match minute, Helmet Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Guerra in the 4th minute of the match. Tiago Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Santiago FC's goalkeeper Valdomiro Seco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nico Fonseca. In the 8th match minute, Santiago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Nico Fonseca was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tiago Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredinho Guerra in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Nico Fonseca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valdomiro Seco, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Pernambucano in the 20th minute of play forced Helmet Football Club's goalkeeper Tiago Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Santiago FC's protests and gave Ronaldão Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. Ronaldão Marinho hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Helmet Football Club's Jefferson Davila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdomiro Seco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 45 played minutes Santiago FC got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo da Costa. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico Fonseca in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdomiro Seco saved Santiago FC from getting behind. Valdomiro Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Fonseca in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nico Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, André Luiz Cavalcante notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Helmet Football Club's Tiago Dantas. Tiago Dantas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santiago FC's Valdomiro Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Fonseca in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute Nico Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Tiago Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Luiz Cavalcante in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the game, André Luiz Cavalcante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tiago Dantas. André Luiz Cavalcante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Cauan Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Tiago Dantas made a huge save. In the 82nd minute Nico Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Peixoto in the 84th minute of play forced Santiago FC's goalkeeper Valdomiro Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Santiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Davila came free, but Valdomiro Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gugu da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Valdomiro Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nico Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Seco having to interfere.
