Rubens Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcisio Galvão, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The supporters of JEC - FC booed when Trahira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Braulio Toli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JEC - FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Tarcisio Galvão put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rubens Ferraz. After 24 minutes of play, JEC - FC's Luisinho Ribeiro made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some careless play in the Trahira defense, Braulio Toli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubens Ferraz. The Trahira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubens Ferraz should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cacá Damião stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Douglas Meira scored 0-9 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rubens Ferraz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rubens Ferraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reynaldo Vander went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. 60 minutes in the game, Braulio Toli fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rubens Ferraz having to interfere. Rubens Ferraz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tarcisio Galvão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 61 minute of play. In the 64th minute, Reynaldo Vander reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rubens Ferraz. The goal made the score 0-12. Trahira's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Braulio Toli scored to the left of an out of position Rubens Ferraz, making the score, 0-13. In the 71st minute, JEC - FC's Braulio Toli dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-14. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcisio Galvão got free with Rubens Ferraz in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rubens Ferraz was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Braulio Toli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Braulio Toli really showed his touch with that goal: 0-15. Tarcisio Galvão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rubens Ferraz came out and tried to block the shot, but Tarcisio Galvão slotted it home off the left post making it 0-16 in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Douglas Meira made a precise shot to the right of Rubens Ferraz. Trahira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-17. After 88 minutes of play, JEC - FC's Tarcisio Galvão made it 0-18 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rubens Ferraz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as JEC - FC's Luisinho Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rubens Ferraz. That made the score 0-19 after 93 minutes of play. When the match was over JEC - FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Trahira throughout the match.
