Ricardo Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Fernandão Reis made a huge save. 6 minutes into the game, Cauan Chaves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pregos EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio PR the free kick. In the 6th match minute, Pregos EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 9 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robinho Dias. Pregos EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Pregos EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Furtado came free, but Robinho Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Osvaldo Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st match minute, Pregos EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Barral to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robinho Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Robinho Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Santos in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Santos in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robinho Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute Jonathan Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robinho Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 minutes, Ademar Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pregos EC and the Grêmio PR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pregos EC's Ademar Souza got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Pregos EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grêmio PR were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Antunes to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Osvaldo Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio PR's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robinho Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernandão Reis came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Pregos EC's Ricardo Antunes. But to his dismay, Ricardo Antunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to Pregos EC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Lenílson Oliveira hit a great ball. Lenílson da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Víktor Senna hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Osvaldo Santos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Emanuel Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cauan Chaves hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Osvaldo Santos put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Robinho Dias. If Jonathan Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the game, Grêmio PR's Osvaldo Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robinho Dias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Pregos EC's zone, Jonathan Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho Dias came out of the goal and Jonathan Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernandão Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Antunes's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
