An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Veiga in the 41st minute of play forced Demolidor de Campeões's goalkeeper Cipriano Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Anthimos Tsoulkas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Daniel Romero, 3-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Negri to make the kick off.
