Tales Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chapolins's Tales Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Andrade in the 19th minute of play. Dito Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Emerson Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chapolins's Tales Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Andrade in the 35th minute of play. After 38 minutes, Dito Hoffmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chapolins and the Laguna Sunrise FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute Juan Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Andrade succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 57th minute of the match Laguna Sunrise FC got a corner. Chapolins's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wellington Ferraz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Laguna Sunrise FC's Paulinho Hoffmann got a free kick in the 64th minute. Tales Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Andrade in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute of the match, Paulinho Hoffmann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tales Sergipano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paulinho Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Tales Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laguna Sunrise FC. A collision led to Chapolins getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Délio Lopez hit a great ball. When Cauã Fantini came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Chapolins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauã Fantini couldn't finish the play. Cauã Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laguna Sunrise FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
