That made the score 3-0 in the 16 minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Pinheiro came free, but Luiz Eduardo Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Jailson Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jailson Oliveira got free with Edgard Tavares in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgard Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Coaraci's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Romo came free, but Edgard Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Tavares came out of the goal and Enzo Romo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 93rd minute of the match Aníbal Borges completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aníbal Borges a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 93 played minutes Coaraci got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Borges. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enzo Romo in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Blue Mountain State had played much better football throughout.
