Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dinei Rocha got the match started through his kick off. Rui Schmidt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Glauco Sarmento made a huge save. THZ's Glauco Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Vianna in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinei Rocha in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Breno Mello saved Cruzalia EC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzalia EC's zone, Dinei Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Mello came out of the goal and Dinei Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When THZ's Dinei Rocha in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cruzalia EC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Dinei Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Breno Mello was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, THZ's Dinei Rocha got a free kick in the 15th minute. The supporters of THZ booed when Cruzalia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Cruzalia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gino Neves to maneuver through the defense. If Dinei Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breno Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Rocha in the 28th minute of play. Serafim Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Mello having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Cruzalia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Rocha came free, but Breno Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. THZ's Glauco Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save THZ from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, THZ's goalkeeper Glauco Sarmento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Schmidt. After 42 minutes, Fiori Vaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the THZ and the Cruzalia EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cruzalia EC booed when THZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes of play THZ's Fiori Vaz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Geraldo Ramos made the kick off in the second half. Geraldo Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Glauco Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breno Mello came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by THZ's Aírton Matos. But to his dismay, Aírton Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Breno Mello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Pedro de Lima's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Dinei Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Mello having to interfere. A collision led to THZ getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jefferson Pernambucano hit a great ball. Donato Romero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Glauco Sarmento. THZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A hard, long distance shot from Serafim Costa flew over the goal. Dinei Rocha struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Breno Mello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THZ. Dinei Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Breno Mello having to make a save. 74 minutes into the match, Cruzalia EC's goalkeeper Breno Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Pedro de Lima. In the 76th minute, Dinei Rocha fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Breno Mello, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Rocha in the 79th minute of play forced Cruzalia EC's goalkeeper Breno Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glauco Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Jefferson Pernambucano hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Glauco Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Schmidt in the 92nd minute of play. Breno Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded THZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cruzalia EC.
