In the 13th minute, Sidnei Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ademar Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Vieira in the 18th minute of play forced Jardim Botânico's goalkeeper Ademar Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serginho Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sidnei Palmeira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ademar Leme came out and tried to block the shot, but Sidnei Palmeira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 56th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Jardim Botânico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Dracena to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo Vieiras short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Ademar Leme to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Oswaldo Vieira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Ademar Leme when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Vieira got free with Ademar Leme in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladimir Almeida struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Vágner Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jardim Botânico. Ademar Leme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oswaldo Vieira went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Ademar Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chants of Mabedery echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Jardim Botânico had held the ball for most of the match.
