Claudinei Botelho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dráuzio Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Claudinei Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasco IB's Eriberto Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Cardoso in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Vasco IB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Lima to maneuver through the defense. Raí Cardoso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eriberto Neiva. Vasco IB's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Vasco IB's Aloísio Leite nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinei Botelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 36th minute Josué Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráuzio Martins struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Claudinei Botelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vasco IB. If Aloísio Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Čech hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Cardoso in the 46th minute of play forced Vasco IB's goalkeeper Eriberto Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasco IB's goalkeeper Eriberto Neiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Josué Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes Bandeirantes got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Arruda. After having played for 93 minutes, Dráuzio Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco IB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráuzio Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute of the match Anísio Guerra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei Botelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Cardoso in the 98th minute of play forced Vasco IB's goalkeeper Eriberto Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Vasco IB could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bandeirantes throughout the match.
