Cláudio Arruda hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Bandeirantes's Rodolfo Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Breno Mello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cesinha Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silas Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Claudinei Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aníbal de Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aníbal de Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Cruzalia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Fernando Aparecido hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Bandeirantes's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Schmidt came free, but Claudinei Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Breno Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Cesinha Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cruzalia EC booed when Bandeirantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Schmidt to make the kick off. Bandeirantes's Rodolfo Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzalia EC's zone, Cesinha Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Mello came out of the goal and Cesinha Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rui Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cesinha Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Mello having to interfere. A collision led to Bandeirantes getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Gino Lucas hit a great ball. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandeirantes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Donato Romero was slow to take the kick. During this time Cruzalia EC's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Bandeirantes booed when Cruzalia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the game, one of Cruzalia EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Silas Prestes took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinei Botelho. Claudinei Botelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
