In the 17th minute Tiago Gabriel Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Apocalipse FC's Doriva Loyola got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes, Cruzalia EC's Aníbal de Mendonça shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cruzalia EC reached it. The audience was convinced that Tiago Gabriel Brodel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Breno Mello was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Doriva Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Doriva Loyola kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Breno Mello. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. Cruzalia EC's Breno Mello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Cruzalia EC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Cruzalia EC's Donato Romero got a free kick in the 45th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Emanuel Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apocalipse FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelinho Vianna got free with Gianluigi Buffon in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute Doriva Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Doriva Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gianluigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. A collision led to Cruzalia EC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Aníbal de Mendonça hit a great ball.
