Vasco IB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laranjo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vasco IB the free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João de Alcântara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vasco IB's attack was well implemented in the 78th minute, but when Dráuzio Martins was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Antônio Carlos Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Munhoz in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Laranjo EC's zone, Aloísio Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Carlos Quintal came out of the goal and Aloísio Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dráuzio Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute.
