Antônio Carlos Quintal came out of the goal and Dinei Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Glauco Sarmento was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and João de Alcântara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. João de Alcântara really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinei Rocha in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Carlos Quintal saved Laranjo EC from getting behind. Dinei Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Rocha in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antônio Carlos Quintal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Jonas Nascimento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio Carlos Quintal was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 21stth minute of the game Dinei Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laranjo EC's Antônio Carlos Quintal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cauan Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If João Pedro de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Carlos Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Rocha in the 28th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Laranjo EC's Cauan Gonçalves got a free kick in the 29th minute. The referee ignored Laranjo EC's protests and gave Cauan Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Laranjo EC got a freekick which was hit by Cauan Gonçalves. In the 35thth minute of the game Dinei Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laranjo EC's Antônio Carlos Quintal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of THZ booed when Laranjo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Carlos Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Rocha in the 41st minute of the match. Dinei Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Quintal having to interfere. After some careless play in the Laranjo EC defense, Jonas Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antônio Carlos Quintal. The Laranjo EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antônio Carlos Quintal should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Dinei Rocha made the kick off in the second half. Glauco Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João de Alcântara in the 56th minute of the match. Dinei Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antônio Carlos Quintal having to make a save. Antônio Carlos Quintal was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and João Pedro de Lima capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. João Pedro de Lima really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Dinei Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antônio Carlos Quintal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dinei Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 1-3 when João Pedro de Lima sped through Laranjo EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Antônio Carlos Quintal. Dinei Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Quintal having to interfere. Dinei Rocha took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antônio Carlos Quintal. Antônio Carlos Quintal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. THZ's José Paulo Mangueira was substituted for Jonas Nascimento. In the 86th minute, THZ's João Pedro de Lima ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antônio Carlos Quintal. Antônio Carlos Quintal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 90th minute José Paulo Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Laranjo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Rocha came free, but Antônio Carlos Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. THZ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
