The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Vágner Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Augusto de Souza in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Mabedery getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. XV de Piracicaba's Nando Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. XV de Piracicaba's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
