After having played for 4 minutes, Betinho Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trojans United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betinho Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Luís Paulo Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Afonsinho da Costa. Trojans United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Zézinho Saraiva's late challenge caught a Fluminense di Parma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zézinho Saraiva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Trojans United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. Germano Cano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Afonsinho da Costa came out and tried to block the shot, but Germano Cano slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. Afonsinho da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo Fonseca in the 27th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Fluminense di Parma's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Saraiva came free, but André Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Trojans United's Betinho Sabóia to fire away a dangerous shot which André Tepedino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luís Paulo Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Luís Paulo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Afonsinho da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Rodrigues hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. José Paulo Ramalho, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Saraiva was the one to do the kick off. When Luís Paulo Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Fluminense di Parma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Paulo Fonseca couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chiquinho Freire got free with André Tepedino in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Betinho Sabóia charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Betinho Sabóia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fluminense di Parma booed when Trojans United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Trojans United getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Betinho Sabóia hit a great ball. José Paulo Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonsinho da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Cano in the 71st minute of the match. Afonsinho da Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Paulo Fonseca went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Paulo Fonseca in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonsinho da Costa saved Trojans United from getting behind. Trojans United's Afonsinho da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Cano in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Luís Paulo Fonseca notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Trojans United's Afonsinho da Costa. Afonsinho da Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute Jaime Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonsinho da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Cano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Fluminense di Parma players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
