Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zézinho Saraiva got the match started through his kick off. Chiquinho Freire hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Trojans United defense, Jânio dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho da Costa. The Trojans United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho da Costa should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the game, Jânio dos Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Afonsinho da Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Jânio dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the scain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jânio dos Santos couldn't finish the play. scain's Fábio Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Raí Matos managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Trojans United's Chiquinho Freire fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jânio dos Santos in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonsinho da Costa saved Trojans United from getting behind. Jânio dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the match, scain's Jânio dos Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonsinho da Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When scain's Jânio dos Santos in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Chiquinho Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raí Matos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chiquinho Freire in the 41st minute. The supporters of Trojans United booed when scain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonsinho da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Arlo in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Jânio dos Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Afonsinho da Costa. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, scain's Jânio dos Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonsinho da Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chiquinho Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. scain's Jânio dos Santos was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 62nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 68 minutes of play, Trojans United's Chiquinho Freire made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raí Matos was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Víðir Hafþórsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jânio dos Santos in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Afonsinho da Costa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 74th minute, Jânio dos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonsinho da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. In the 80th minute of the match Bruninho Magalhães sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonsinho da Costa skillfully saved the ball. Víðir Hafþórsson struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Afonsinho da Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for scain. Trojans United's Afonsinho da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jânio dos Santos in the 89th minute of play. Afonsinho da Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jânio dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. After some careless play in the scain defense, Chiquinho Freire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raí Matos. The scain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raí Matos should have stopped the shot. scain's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
