After a defensive mix-up in Escola de Atletas do Azul's zone, Cenk Kani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Oliveira came out of the goal and Cenk Kani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duarte Falcão hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. A collision led to Escola de Atletas do Azul getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Renatas Legeckas hit a great ball. Narciso Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 played minutes Utopia e Luta got a freekick which was hit by Dana Dan. Cenk Kani hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Frederick Windum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute Válbson Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Aílton Pinho sent off a good shot on target. Escola de Atletas do Azul's Narciso Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Escola de Atletas do Azul from getting a goal against them. Narciso Oliveira was a little too slow when Aílton Pinho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Luís Gustavo de Amorim hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. If Frederick Windum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Cenk Kani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Quirino in the 75th minute of play forced Escola de Atletas do Azul's goalkeeper Narciso Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cenk Kani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Utopia e Luta made a substitution. Ciriaco Aritza replaced Aílton Pinho. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Válbson Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utopia e Luta's supporters rose to their feet, but Válbson Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cenk Kani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciriaco Aritza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Narciso Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Quirino in the 92nd minute of play. Escola de Atletas do Azul's Narciso Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Quirino in the 95th minute of play. Ciriaco Aritza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Narciso Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Utopia e Luta had played much better football throughout.
