Ademir Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zorgetz's Nuno da Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 minutes, Inácio Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ELO CRF and the Zorgetz players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ELO CRF's Inácio Queirós got a free kick in the 29th minute. Nuno da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zorgetz's Ademir Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simão Ortiz to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes ELO CRF got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Nunes. In the 53rd minute Ademir Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovânio Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ademir Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Veloso having to interfere. In the 60th minute of the match Michel Eger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovânio Veloso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the match, ELO CRF's goal looked a bit too open when Ademir Mangueira came free, but Geovânio Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Michel Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 65 minutes, Gilson Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ELO CRF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilson Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ademir Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Arí Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Zorgetz's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Ortiz came free, but Valdir Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovânio Veloso came out of the goal and Ademir Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademir Mangueira in the 85th minute of play forced ELO CRF's goalkeeper Geovânio Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ademir Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdir Miranda made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Noel de Lima sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Nuno da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovânio Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 94th minute Ademir Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovânio Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Maicon Coelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ELO CRF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zorgetz the free kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zorgetz had played much better football throughout.
