The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Jacarehype's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Vale came free, but Stig-Arne Collin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jânio Madureira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto França was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. But to his dismay, Oswaldo Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Luizão Ramos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. Jacarehype's Stig-Arne Collin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Vale in the 46th minute of play. Rodrigo Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Stig-Arne Collin made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Stquiby FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacarehype the free kick. Jacarehype's supporters rose to their feet, but Dadá Paraíba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacarehype's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
