Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gonçalo Vale started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Gonçalo Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abertao's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Vianna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre da Cunha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Humberto Vianna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abertao's goalkeeper Amílton Paes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Alexandre da Cunha sped through Chupeiro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Humberto Vianna. If Kauã Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvinho Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvinho Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Silvinho Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes, Abertao's Délio Cavalcante shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Humberto Vianna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Abertao reached it. The attack was good, but when Alexandre da Cunha in the 22nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Humberto Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Vale in the 25th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kauã Varela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amílton Paes was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the match, Abertao's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã Varela came free, but Amílton Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chupeiro's Humberto Vianna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Vale in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Alexandre da Cunha could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Humberto Vianna however easily saved by the left post. In the 46th match minute, Abertao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Kauã Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Chupeiro's Kauã Varela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amílton Paes. That made the score 1-1 after 53 minutes of play. Zeca Branco hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Humberto Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Zé Paulo Mendonça was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Abertao! In the 63rdth minute of the game Alexandre da Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chupeiro's Humberto Vianna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelinho Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Zeca Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Mendonça took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Humberto Vianna. Chupeiro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Raúl Sampaio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amílton Paes skillfully saved the ball. Zeca Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Abertao! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gugu de Lara during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gugu de Lara hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Humberto Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Chupeiro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chupeiro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
