When Lauro Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Opera OMNES's protests and gave Lauro Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Lauro Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the game, Opera OMNES's Pedro Bastos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Umberto Senna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 15 played minutes Opera OMNES got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Dionísio. In the 17th minute, Manuel Meireles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Opera OMNES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Umberto Senna was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Manuel Meireles capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Manuel Meireles really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. 30 minutes into the match, Rebentao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Meireles came free, but Umberto Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Chico Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gugu Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Umberto Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Rebentao EC got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Souto. If Afonso Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Meireles to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Rebentao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Meireles came free, but Umberto Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Umberto Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Meireles in the 56th minute of play. Afonso Cosme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but José Vítor Quirino made a huge save. In the 61st minute, Gugu Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wesley Dionísio made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gugu Linhares however managed to control. Manuel Meireles took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Umberto Senna. Umberto Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Rebentao EC's attentive João Travassos managed to snatch the ball when Wesley Dionísio made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Gugu Linhares in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rebentao EC's Chico Arce. Lauro Tinoco hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Rubinho Fantini sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Opera OMNES's José Vítor Quirino didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Opera OMNES's José Vítor Quirino got control of the ball when João Travassos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Opera OMNES's Perivaldo Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Umberto Senna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. José Vítor Quirino was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and João Travassos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. João Travassos really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Opera OMNES were victorious despite being under pressure from Rebentao EC for much of the match.
