After a rather tough play, Anjinho AD's Eliseu Sergipano got a free kick in the 24th minute. Wágner Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Júlio de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wágner Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Víktor Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anjinho AD the free kick. After 34 played minutes Acara got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Damião. Júlio de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani das Neves in the 36th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Anjinho AD's Wágner Trevisan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio de Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Júlio de Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernani das Neves's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the game, Acara's Joel de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo de Souza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

54 minutes into the match, Anjinho AD's goalkeeper Danilo de Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Umberto Falcão. Umberto Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo de Souza having to interfere. Danilo de Souza made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Joel de Almeida sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, Dinko Švalj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Anjinho AD's Danilo de Souza got control of the ball when Umberto Falcão tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Ernani das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anjinho AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernani das Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernani das Neves in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Anjinho AD's Ernani das Neves in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Acara's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Anjinho AD's Danilo de Souza got control of the ball when Umberto Falcão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Umberto Falcão charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Umberto Falcão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Anjinho AD booed when Acara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umberto Falcão hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ernani das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio de Toledo having to interfere. Acara's Júlio de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Trevisan in the 89th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernani das Neves in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio de Toledo saved Acara from getting behind. Júlio de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wágner Trevisan went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Anjinho AD fully deserved thier win.
