F.C Fribourg's Durval Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Moura in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, F.C Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Vistruario came free, but Durval Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Durval Araújo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeledon Vistruario in the 20th minute. Hunters FC's Zeledon Vistruario managed to work through F.C Fribourg's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Durval Araújo was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Elmārs Bevalds capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elmārs Bevalds really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Durval Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Moura in the 35th minute of play. Elmārs Bevalds received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Durval Araújo came out and tried to block the shot, but Elmārs Bevalds slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 36th minute. Zeledon Vistruario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Durval Araújo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hunters FC's Mosaed Bo Qamaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Saldanha in the 46th minute of play.

When Adilson Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hunters FC's protests and gave Adilson Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55thth minute of the game Zeledon Vistruario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C Fribourg's Durval Araújo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Hunters FC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Hunters FC's Benedito Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Hunters FC booed when F.C Fribourg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeledon Vistruario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito Moura in the 87th minute of play forced F.C Fribourg's goalkeeper Durval Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the game, João Francisco Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hunters FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C Fribourg the free kick. 92 minutes in the game Jérémy Doku did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Adilson Tinoco.
