Umberto Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinko Švalj, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Yan Nóbrega made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rebentao EC's Luís Gustavo Amorim. In the 12th minute, Ernani das Neves made a precise shot to the right of Umberto Senna. Rebentao EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 22 played minutes Rebentao EC got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Soares. Umberto Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani das Neves in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani das Neves in the 39th minute of play forced Rebentao EC's goalkeeper Umberto Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rebentao EC's Rubinho Fantini quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Enio Zonta, made in the 45th minute of the game. 1-4 came in the 47th minute when Vicente Mesquita all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Umberto Senna. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernani das Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. Rebentao EC's Umberto Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani das Neves in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Giovanni Vieira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anjinho AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Anjinho AD's Ernani das Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Travassos's late challenge caught a Anjinho AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Travassos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Anjinho AD's Vicente Mesquita got a free kick in the 74th minute. When %teams%'s Ernani das Neves was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-7 just inside the left pole, 76 minutes into the game. Umberto Senna was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Rebentao EC's Umberto Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinko Švalj in the 81st minute of play. Umberto Senna acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 82nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Yan Nóbrega. In the 84th minute Ernani das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Umberto Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani das Neves in the 90th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Anjinho AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rebentao EC.
