Zeledon Vistruario might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aníbal de Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Vistruario ran back to his position shaking his head. Aníbal de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Elmārs Bevalds sent off a good shot on target. In the 11th minute, Benicio Mino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palmares FC's Aníbal de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Moura in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Hunters FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Rezende came free, but Mosaed Bo Qamaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adilson Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal de Almeida having to interfere. Aníbal de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Benedito Moura sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Benicio Mino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aníbal de Almeida was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Aníbal de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Elmārs Bevalds sent off a good shot on target. With 27 minutes on the clock, Júnior Santos commited a dangerous tackle. Vicente Reis hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Palmares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Moura came free, but Aníbal de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aníbal de Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elmārs Bevalds in the 38th minute. Aníbal de Almeida came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Hunters FC's Vicente Reis. But to his dismay, Vicente Reis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 48th minute, Elmārs Bevalds left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hunters FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernani Saldanha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Zeledon Vistruario put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Aníbal de Almeida. In the 63rd minute Benedito Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Mino scored 7-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aníbal de Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Palmares FC defense, Adilson Tinoco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aníbal de Almeida. The Palmares FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aníbal de Almeida should have stopped the shot. Benedito Moura scored 9-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aníbal de Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Palmares FC's Aníbal de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Tinoco in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute Elmārs Bevalds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aníbal de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Palmares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Moura came free, but Aníbal de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aníbal de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Moura in the 87th minute of the match. Romário Quadros charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romário Quadros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 minutes of play, Hunters FC's Zeledon Vistruario made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aníbal de Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aníbal de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Tinoco in the 92nd minute of play. Aníbal de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmārs Bevalds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Palmares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elmārs Bevalds came free, but Aníbal de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Hunters FC were the better team. Hunters FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
