With his leg Durval Araújo managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Palmares FC's Pedro Augusto Rezende fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 31st minute Joélson Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aníbal de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Gustavo Tavares in the 41st minute of the match. Luiz Gustavo Tavares scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aníbal de Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
