The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Hunters FC's Umberto Senna threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vicente Reis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Umberto Senna was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benedito Moura showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Vistruario in the 8th minute of play forced Rebentao EC's goalkeeper Umberto Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Umberto Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto Senna came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Hunters FC's Benedito Moura. But to his dismay, Benedito Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The Hunters FC fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Hunters FC's Zeledon Vistruario looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 16 minutes into the match, Rebentao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Moura came free, but Umberto Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Hunters FC's Vicente Reis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Umberto Senna. That made the score 4-0 after 17 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Vistruario in the 20th minute of play forced Rebentao EC's goalkeeper Umberto Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Umberto Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedito Moura in the 21st minute. Umberto Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Rebentao EC's Umberto Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Rebentao EC from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Rebentao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Reis came free, but Umberto Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Umberto Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Hunters FC's Benedito Moura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Umberto Senna. That made the score 6-0 after 32 minutes of play. Elmārs Bevalds took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Umberto Senna. Umberto Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Elmārs Bevalds could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Umberto Senna made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 9-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Cosme to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Rebentao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Vistruario came free, but Umberto Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Benedito Moura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Umberto Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. After some careless play in the Rebentao EC defense, Elmārs Bevalds kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Umberto Senna. The Rebentao EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Umberto Senna should have stopped the shot. Zeledon Vistruario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Umberto Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeledon Vistruario scored 12-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Umberto Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilberto Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Rebentao EC defense, Benicio Mino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Umberto Senna. The Rebentao EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Umberto Senna should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute Benedito Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Umberto Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmārs Bevalds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmārs Bevalds, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Umberto Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Vistruario in the 83rd minute of play. Benedito Moura took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Umberto Senna. Umberto Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 16-0. Luís Gustavo Amorim hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Umberto Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Reis in the 90th minute of play. Umberto Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Moura in the 91st minute of the match. Umberto Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto Senna came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Hunters FC's Benedito Moura. But to his dismay, Benedito Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 17-0. There was no doubt that Hunters FC were the better team. Hunters FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
