In the 15th minute Willian Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jardel Abreu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Justin Thompson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Pereira in the 19th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, ArabLionZ FC's Enéas Eger threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlos Fernando Mineiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Carlos Fernando Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. ArabLionZ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enéas Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doni Quintal hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Ramiro Carrasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Thompson having to interfere. Ramiro Carrasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Justin Thompson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half A.C. Kearny were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jerônimo Pereira to make the kick off. Ramiro Carrasco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Justin Thompson made a huge save. In the 56th minute, John Wick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olavo Ramalho during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, A.C. Kearny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, A.C. Kearny's Justin Thompson threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jerônimo Pereira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A.C. Kearny's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lauro de Andrade in the 93rd minute. Lauro de Andrade made a great header on A.C. Kearny's corner, it was just that ArabLionZ FC's Justin Thompson managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 95 minutes, John Wick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ArabLionZ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Wick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A.C. Kearny succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though ArabLionZ FC had controlled the match.
